New Pedestrian Access Planned for Bracknell Greggs

Changes are coming to a chain bakery that serves workers at one of Bracknell’s business parks.

Exciting changes are on the horizon for a popular bakery serving Bracknell's business park workers.

The Greggs at Western Road, established in 2018, is set to gain a new pedestrian access point following recent council approval.

In related news, a fresh proposal for cider production at a local farm and renovation plans for a townhouse in Wokingham have also been greenlit.

The Greggs bakery will soon feature a newly approved pedestrian access, as the original footpath was replaced by parking spaces for a neighbouring building. Bracknell Forest Council has deemed this new access acceptable, as it won’t cause significant traffic disruption.

Cider production plans at Widmill Farm (Bracknell app 25/00540/PAD)

Widmill Farm in Warfield has submitted plans to build a cider storage and processing facility. The proposal estimates an annual production of around 87,360 litres of apple juice, with between 4,000 to 7,000 litres of cider expected from the upcoming 2025 harvest. This new facility will be located near Malt Hill and Church Lane.

Townhouse renovations approved in Wokingham (Wokingham app 251653)

Wingmore Lodge House in Wokingham has received permission for modernisation works. Situated on Rose Street, the recently acquired property will undergo repairs and updates to its kitchen, bathrooms, windows, and doors, requiring listed building consent due to its 18th-century origins.

Historic house extension approved in Wargrave (Wokingham app 251050)

A historic residence in Wargrave has been granted permission for a two-storey rear extension and renovations. River Cottage, a Grade II-listed building, will see a mix of new construction and refurbishments, including changes to windows and internal modifications.
