A gym and restaurant are set to be added to a large office building in Bracknell.
Exciting changes are on the horizon for Bracknell! A gym and restaurant are set to be added to the Origin building near the town centre, which currently houses the Jobcentre.
The project will convert parts of the ground and first floors into food and drink spaces, with the conversion approved on September 25. Despite being occupied by the Jobcentre, 72% of the building still remains empty.
Meanwhile, Wellington College in Crowthorne will replace an existing playing field with a new floodlit artificial hockey pitch, allowing year-round play for the college team. Planning approval for this was granted on September 22, with a nearby 32-space car park for visitors.
In Eversley, a plan by Cemex UK Properties seeks to build 190 homes near Finchampstead, just over the Wokingham Borough border. This development will also create a suitable alternative natural greenspace (SANG) to the south of the site, with public consultation running until October 10.
Lastly, designs for four new large homes in Arborfield have been submitted. The site, previously home to The Moat House, has outline planning consent for detached five-bedroom homes approved back in 2015, although the house has since been boarded up.
