New Flats Advertised at Reading Riverworks Project

Promotion for new riverside apartments in Reading has been allowed to take place at an existing development site.

New riverside apartments in Reading get the green light for promotion.

Berkeley Homes has received approval to advertise its 'Reading Riverworks' project, which will feature 209 flats replacing the old power station on Vastern Road. The promotional materials are being showcased at the existing Huntley Wharf development off Kenavon Drive.

In planning news, a proposal to turn a house in Wykeham Road into a five-bed HMO has been denied due to concerns over living standards and a lack of outdoor space. Meanwhile, a new barbershop has been approved for Merrick House at Kennet Island, complete with a serving area, kitchenette, and restroom.

Additionally, the council has approved the ventilation system for a building on Oxford Road, which is being converted into five one-bed flats. This project received permission to transform from office use back in June, with ventilation details finalised on October 14.
