Plans for up to 850 homes, new housing at Buckler's Park and a large house extension in Binfield are among this week's planning news from Bracknell Forest and Wokingham.

Plans for 29 homes approved at Buckler's Park (Bracknell application 24/00660/FUL)
Permission has been granted for 29 homes at the next stage of Buckler's Park, subject to a Section 106 agreement. The scheme will reorientate three previously approved homes and includes landscaping, public open space, highways and drainage.
Residents objected, saying the phase would push development past the 1,000 homes originally planned for the former TRL site and narrow the gap between northern Crowthorne and southern Bracknell. Several said they would withdraw objections if Cala Homes confirmed land previously identified for a maintence depot would be made available for community recreation, with suggestions including a pump track and five-a-side area.
850-home development proposed near Jennett's Park (Wokingham application 241933)
A cross-boundary scheme could deliver up to 850 homes west of Old Wokingham Road and north and south of Easthampstead Road. Proposals include a neighbourhood centre, public open space, play areas, allotments, drainage, demolition of existing buildings and a SANG with parking.
Most of the site sits in Wokingham Borough, which leads the application; a small section and a proposed roundabout fall in Bracknell Forest. A linked Bracknell Forest application covering that section was withdrawn; the wider 850-home plan remains with Wokingham Borough Council and no decision has been published.
Major Binfield house extension approved (Wokingham application 261956)
Wokingham approved substantial two-storey front, side and rear extensions and an internal ancillary annexe on Forest Road, increasing floorspace from about 178 sq m to 512 sq m. Conditions require bat mitigation, replacement planting and landscaping. The annexe must remain part of the main home and cannot be occupied, sold or let separately.
Garden and rear extension plans recommended for approval (Wokingham application 261904)
Plans to turn amenity land at Hart Dyke Close into garden space have been recommended for approval, along with a single-storey rear extension, a new boundary wall and demolition of an existing conservatory and bay window. Conditions would require details of the boundary treatment and retention of existing hedging and vegetation.
