Major Parking Changes Proposed Across Reading

Reading Borough Council is proposing parking and waiting changes at 27 locations across Reading. The changes will be considered by Reading Borough Council's traffic management sub-committee.

Battle

Tidmarsh Street: No waiting at any time at the junction of Tidmarsh Street and Stone Street. Kensington Road: No waiting at any time for two existing parking bays to the south of 76 Kensington Road.

Caversham

North Street: Removal of permit holder parking bay to no waiting at any time to cover access points.

Caversham Heights

Highdown Hill Road: No waiting at any time at the junction with Soane End. Surley Row: No waiting at any time for the strip of road south of 56 Surley Row.

Church

Barnsdale Road: Restrictions for the length of Barnsdale Road at its junctions with Windermere Road and Cressingham Road. For the strip to the left, a proposal for no waiting Monday to Friday 11am to 12pm; for the strip to the right, no waiting Monday to Friday 12pm to 1pm. Whitley Wood Road: Extension of no waiting at any time.

Coley

Lesford Road: No waiting at any time near the junction with Wensley Road.

Katesgrove

Rose Kiln Lane: Existing unrestricted area changed to no waiting at any time and shared use 8am to 8pm, no return within two hours, or permit holders; at all other times permit holders only.

Kentwood

Armour Hill and Larisa Close: No waiting at any time at the junction. Scours Lane: Proposed extension of no waiting at any time south of the railway bridge. Shilling Close: Removal of double yellow lines and conversion to unrestricted.

Park

Pitcroft Avenue and Norris Road: Removal of no waiting at any time, conversion to no loading at any time. Tuns Hill Cottages: Conversion of existing shared use 8am to 8pm to permit holders only and creation of two permit-holder bays.

Redlands

Addington Road: Conversion of no waiting at any time to no loading at any time at the junctions with Redlands Road and Craven Road, with a proposed bus stop. Allcroft Road: Removal of permission to park all week 8am to 5.30pm for permit holders or pay and display to no waiting at any time near the junction with Kendrick Road. Upper Redlands Road: Conversion of paid parking bays to no waiting at any time near the junction with New Road, and replacement of paid bays to create a passing place near St William of York Church. Lower Mount: Permit holders only parking bays and no waiting at any time restrictions.

Southcote

Westcote Road: Loading only for 30 minutes.

Thames

Cardiff Road: No waiting at any time at Barrett Court. Addison Road: Extension of permit bay by 10 metres and no waiting at any time at the junction with Printers Court.

Tilehurst

Westwood Road: Extension of no waiting opposite the junction with Victoria Road.

Whitley

Rushley Way: No waiting at any time at the junction with Longships Way. Heatherdene Close and Studland Close: No waiting at junctions with Blandford Road. Roundabout junction of Blandford Road, Meadowcroft Road and Exbourne Road: No loading and unloading weekdays 8.15am to 9.15am and 2.45pm to 4pm.
