Exciting Events Proposed at Reading's Tallest Skyscraper

An entertainment company has applied to host events at a skyscraper in Reading town centre.

An entertainment company is aiming to host events at Reading's tallest building, The Blade, which stands at 86 metres.

Also known as Abbey Mill House, this site was previously a mill.

Happy Valley Recreation has applied to hold various activities on the ground and lower floors, including selling alcohol, screening films, and hosting live music from 8am to 11pm daily.

They also want to offer late-night refreshments until 5am, serving food, soft drinks, and hot drinks.

To proceed, they need a premises licence from Reading Borough Council, and a statutory consultation has been launched.

You can share your thoughts on the application by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk. The deadline for feedback is Monday, November 3.
